Luxury Head Spa in Japan (Osaka): Inside My Experience at Kuu Head Spa Shinsaibashi

Looking for the best head spa in Osaka? I tried the 120-minute signature treatment at Kuu Head Spa in Shinsaibashi. Full review, product haul, and why 80% of their clients are from abroad. Check out my YouTube video on it https://youtu.be/Yv1C2u9Bz8M

Person in white robe walks in a luxury Tokyo head spa with earthy tones, near a pool. Two bean bags and a clock on a brick wall, calm ambiance.

If you’ve been searching for the best head spa in Osaka, one name keeps popping up: Kuu Head Spa Shinsaibashi. With a reputation for indulgent treatments, calming interiors, and top-tier service, it’s no wonder that 80% of their clientele are international visitors.

I booked their 120-minute signature course — and it was more than just a beauty treatment. It was a full-on nervous system reset. Here’s everything you need to know before visiting Kuu, including my full review, what to expect, and the luxury scalp care products I couldn’t leave without.

First Impressions: A Calm Oasis in the Heart of Osaka

Nestled in the stylish Shinsaibashi district, Kuu Head Spa feels worlds away from Osaka’s bustling energy. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with soft lighting, fresh scents, and a whisper-quiet reception area. The space is clean, minimal, and incredibly zen — exactly what you want from a luxury head spa experience in Japan.

Staff members were friendly and spoke enough English (or used a translator) to comfortably guide me through the experience, which was a huge relief as a first-time visitor.

What’s Included in the 120-Minute Signature Treatment?

This wasn’t your typical scalp massage. The Kuu Signature Course is meticulously crafted to target scalp health, muscle tension, lymphatic drainage, and mental fatigue. Here’s what it included:

  • Initial scalp and hair consultation

  • Foot Bath

  • Neck & Shoulder Massage

  • Deep Scalp Massage

  • A Second Neck, shoulder, and upper back massage (a surprisingly thorough and appreciated touch)

  • Hair drying and post-care product recommendations

The Treatment: Relaxation on Another Level

The room was dark and cozy, with a fully reclining spa chair that felt more like a cocoon. They wrapped me in soft towels and began with a slow, methodical scalp massage. The shampoo included a hair steaming treatment as well.

At several points, I was so relaxed I lost track of time — possibly even dozed off. This wasn’t just a treatment for my scalp, it was a full-body experience in stillness and care.

Why So Many Tourists Book at Kuu Head Spa?

During my visit, I learned that Kuu Head Spa sees clients from all over the world, especially Australia, Singapore, and the U.S. Their friendly service staff, luxurious atmosphere, and convenient location in central Osaka make them a must-visit for wellness-minded travelers.

They also offer online reservations, which makes booking ahead super easy — especially if you’re coordinating travel plans.

The Product Haul: What I Bought & Loved

After the treatment, the technician recommended a few products based on my scalp health.

I left with:

  • A hydrating scalp serum

  • A hydrating hair serum

  • A hair milk (to mix with the hair serum)

  • A body serum (plus one for my mom)

Prices were reasonable for the quality, and I’m now obsessed with incorporating these into my regular routine.

Final Thoughts: Is This Luxury Head Spa in Japan Worth It?

Pros:

  • Incredible atmosphere and attentive service

  • Fully immersive 120-minute experience

  • Scalp analysis and personalized care

  • Tourist-friendly (English support, easy booking)

  • Centrally located in Shinsaibashi

Cons:

  • Not as skilled as the Liberta Tokyo provider (check out that blog post!)
